CHILDREN'S FASHION

Even young tots can have a fashion statement that is uniquely their own. As parents, you must be there to guide them with their choices.

But this doesn’t mean that you will meddle with regards to the choices that they will make on children’s fashion. Children have their own preferences and meaning as to what is beautiful and what will look perfect on them.
You can still help your kids with their choices. The first thing that you have to remember is that you must not say anything negative with the things that they seem to love so much.

You definitely don’t want to get into a lengthy discussion about what your kids want to wear. In any way, they will win the battle in the end.

You must point them to the right direction. Give them options as to the latest in terms of trends and fashion. You can suggest that such colors may suit their skin tone or that certain styles will fit their body type right.

Cowgirl and country-inspired styles are still trendy. This look’s essentials include neutrals (such as beige and brown), earth tones (like brick), other warm shades, denim, corduroy, suede, and bandanas. Of course, this look would never be complete without the right pair of cowboy boots. These boots look great with a nice pair of jeans, a country-inspired dress, or a suede or denim skirt.
For chilly weather, young girls look great in layered clothing. The key thing to remember for this style is using the right texture and fabric. For casual layers, mix knitwear or fleece with cotton tees and comfy jeans or cords. If you want a dressier look, go with textured fabrics like velvet and tweed and layer them with smoother fabrics such as silk. This look’s must-haves are ponchos, shrugs, legwarmers, scarves, and sweaters.

They must feel like you are giving them the option to decide on their own while they were still young.

This will have a lot of impact on them as they grow old. Soon enough, they will no longer be kids.

So you must enjoy such period when they are still fond of ponytails and graphic tees

WHAT TO WEAR WITH A DENIM SKIRT

HERE ARE MY BEST FIVE (5) LOOKS
NUMBER 1

NUMBER 2

NUMBER 3

NUMBER 4

NUMBER 5

WHAT TO WEAR TO WORK

Business Attire

This is as formal as it gets, without a cummerbund and yards of satin and lace.

Business-suit and tie for men, no exceptions.

Women have a bit more leeway and can wear skirts as well as nice blouses with pressed trousers, but clothing should be tailored and well-fitting. Closed-toed shoes are a must, as are pantyhose.  Avoid too much flashy color, such as an all-neon suit. However, a splash of color in a tie or scarf is appropriate.  Styles should be classic, with nothing too trendy or obtrusive.

Accessories such as jewelry must be simple and traditional. Piercings anywhere besides earrings for women (one in each ear) must be removed. Tattoos must not be visible. Hair should be clean-cut and carefully styled. No messy hairdos or days-old facial growth. If facial hair is worn, it should be groomed often and already exist during the work-week.

Many companies encourage women to wear subtle make-up, however, they cannot legally force you to do so. If you do choose to wear make-up, choose subtle colors and avoid sparkles or flash. Shoes should be heels for women, or dressy flats, and men should wear nice polished shoes.

Business Casual.

This is the most common dress-code you will encounter, and the interpretation of this term is the broadest.

In general, consider the following:
Clothing should be conservative and nice. Button-down shirts, trousers, blouses, sport coats, and skirts are suitable. Shoes need not be patent-leather and polished; loafers or similar styles are acceptable. Avoid sneakers and sandals, and in most cases closed-toed shoes for women are still required. However, styles can vary toward more trendy looks. Keep skirts knee-length or longer.

Casual.

This is the most poorly interpreted dress code option. Casual still means work-appropriate, so your clothes must still be neat and conservative.

Showing a lot of skin (like a bare midriff, or too much cleavage)  is always a no-no.  Avoid sweats, cut-offs, tank tops, and flip-flops. Sneakers are okay, as long as they are new-looking and clean. Pair jeans with nicer shirts or casual button-downs. A T-shirt is sometimes acceptable, if it is in good condition. Avoid t-shirts with slogans or ads for things such as beer companies. Hair, make-up, and accessories can reflect more personal style, as long as it does not get in the way of your job (such as hair dangling in food, etc.)

Whatever you wear see that it fits you well, because that is what, matters most. Don't just wear anything with the label 'Brand.' Opt for anything that fits your style and physique

CLASSY, YOUNG OR FAB

Lookin for Something to wear for an event .......You don’t want to stand out that much but You don’t want to look manang either.

Classic & Sophisticated
Wearing something classic and simple is safe, cheaper and won’t go out-of-date. Put on A Little Black Dress. Then wear some bold accessories for an updated look – like bangles, stoned necklaces, layered necklaces or fringe earrings. An affordable black dress can cost from 35,000 - 100,000 TShs.

Hip & Young

wear something youthful and colorful like bright colors, patterned prints with flowing skirts. If you choose to be in a printed dress with bold designs, you’re good to go with just a simple set of jewelries.

Something Fab

Well in case you’re not satisfied with the classic or hip style, then you have to shift to an updated fab dress. The style may sound vague so it’s still up to your taste what looks good on you – it may be a mini dress with leggings, a shoulder padded dress, a cocktail dress with black blazer, etc. Just don’t forget to wear high heeled platforms and layered bracelet cuffs.

It would be better if you already have a desired look in your mind before shopping. It will save your time and energy when you plan your style ahead. I cannot suggest specific brands you can check because dresses are available everywhere (Mitumba shops, boutiques ect).  I believe it’s not about the brand but your taste in clothes. Always remember that your dress color should complement your skin tone and its fabric must flatter your figure.

INCREDIBLY CHIC

I believe that every single woman is beautiful, and I’m not referring to inner beauty. The reason why so many women see themselves as ugly and inadequate is because society has come up with ridiculous definitions of beauty that only a small percentage of women are able to attain; and most of those only after the ever-so-popular “complete makeovers.” We have been led to believe that nature cheated us, and so we spend thousands of Tshs adding this and removing that because deep inside we really want to be gorgeous. Sisters, acceptance is the key. Making peace with what you do have and forgetting about what you don’t have is the first step towards developing a healthy self concept. Remember this simple rule: always look your best no matter where you’re going, because when a woman looks good on the outside it makes her feel good on the inside.

Dress for the occasion.

Looking your best doesn’t mean that you need to be overdressed. There is a time and a place for every outfit. Learn to figure it out.

Know your size
Wearing clothing that is too big or too tight is hardly ever a good idea. Don’t be afraid to try on the garments you’re purchasing because in the end it can save you a lot of time and money. Ill-fitting attire gives the impression that you are careless.

Make it match.
Although fashion these days allows the combination of different colors and fabric, you still need to make sure that what you’re wearing actually goes well together. While you’re at it, choose colors that complement your lovely complexion and bring out your beautiful eyes, versus tones that make you fade into the background. If you’re unsure about which colors are right for you, stand in front of a mirror with natural light and hold different shades up to your face. You’ll realize that some of them make you look radiant, while others harden your facial features.
Be careful with the number of colors you mix at once. Wearing three or even four colors at once can create an incredible look, but I recommend stopping there. Mix five or more colors and you’ll risk looking like a rainbow explosion (and not in a good way)!

Choose your design.
Not everything that is fashionable is appropriate for every figure. Pick outfits that are comfortable and at the same time enhance your silhouette.

Be aware of your age.
Contrary to popular belief, dressing like a teenager when you’re in your thirties does not make you look younger. Dressing according to your age will make you more attractive if you pay attention to details like color, fabric, and style.

Pay attention to the inside.
It doesn’t matter how stunning you might look, if you carry around the extra baggage of unforgiveness, resentment, envy, prejudice and hatred, they will show up in your interactions with others. Be sure to spend some time every day in quiet reflection on how to become a better woman and how you can empower other women to do the same.
